About Dr. Manasse

Professional Experience

Dr. Robert J. Manasse is a graduate of the College of Dentistry and the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Illinois. He has been a private practioner since 1974, first in Texas and since 1993 in Matteson, Illinois, a south suburb of Chicago. His areas of interest include craniofacial anomalies, interceptive growth guidance treatment, and mentoring. He has held faculty positions at the University of Illinois and the University of Texas, teaching growth and development to orthodontic residents. His experiences include leading a multidisciplinary craniofacial anomalies team treating these patients while also serving as chief of hospital dental staff and holding staff positions at other hospitals.

Currently, Dr. Manasse specializes in growth guidance treatment, particularly with Class III malocclusions, with very early intervention. He has been a presenter at numerous professional organizations and has published several articles. Active with the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics and the Chicago Dental Society branch of the American Dental Association, Dr. Manasse currently serves on the peer review committee in the mediation process and is an officer in the branch organization.

About Dr. Shah

When not in the office, Dr. Shah enjoys spending family time with his wife who is a native Chicagoan. They have plans to start a family in the near future and live in the south suburbs. Dr. Shah enjoys exercising and is a huge sports fan. He is a proud fan of all Chicago teams especially the Chicago Bears.

Dr. Shah was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. He completed his undergraduate degree in biology at McMaster University and graduated with honors from the University of Toronto with a doctor of dental surgery (DDS) degree. While in school, he served as class vice president and was class valedictorian. After dental school, Dr. Shah completed a hospital residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois and worked as a general dentist for two years in Vernon Hills, Illinois before returning to complete his orthodontic specialty at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Shah graduated with a masters degree in orthodontics.

Aside from private practice, Dr. Shah is involved with many professional associations including the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Illinois Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Illinois Society of Orthodontists, and the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists.
